There are a lot of online resources for getting information about the EDP and looping in general, and there are a lot of wonderful people who have played a huge role in developing the Echoplex, looping, and my relation to both of those things. This is my small way of saying thanks.
THE ECHOPLEX ANALYSIS PAGES:

Part 1: Ambient Guitar (1997)

Part 2: Studio Looping (1998-1999)

Part 3: Glitches, Cycles, and Non-Repetitive Looping (2001)

Part 4: Turntablist Guitar and LoopIV (2002)

Credit Where Credit Is Due
Matthias Grob The original inventor of the EDP: a truly brilliant musician, programmer, and creative mind. Matthias probably has the single most deeply and organically integrated relationship with musical performance technology of anyone I've ever heard. His web page features many examples of his music, the philosophy behind his work, and the history of his remarkably deep and varied activities in musical performance and technology.
Kim Flint The design head for the original EDP team, and Matthias' partner in ongoing Echoplex development. Kim has helped spearhead many elaborate and innovative addditions to the Echoplex's architecture, particularly some of the more angular and "modern" features. Think of him as the John Lennon to Mr. Grob's Paul McCartney.
Claude Voit An immensely in-depth contributor to the development of the EDP, and a fabulously creative musician. For sheer depth and breadth of features in regular use, Claude is probably the most sophisticated Echoplex user in the world.
Andy Butler Another seriously influential member of the LoopIV design team. Andy brought a number of brilliant new concepts for the EDP, many of which have completely revolutionized the way I approach looping.
Chris Muir Mr. Muir was a staunch advocate of increased MIDI implementation for LoopIV, which has proven to be an immensely liberating addition to the EDP's operational potential. As with the rest of the LoopIV design team, Chris' contributions have dramatically impacted my use of the instrument.

Places to Visit
Looper's Delight THE website and mailing list for just about every facet of real-time looping.
Aurisis Research The business arm of Matthias and Kim's ongoing research and development of the Echoplex. This is the place to go for obtaining the LoopIV software upgrade.
Echoplex Pages @ Looper's Delight Tutorials, guides, and playing hints for the EDP. Echoplex users (and loopers in general) of most any level will find something new to try or discover here.

Thank You:
To Matthias, Kim, Claude, Andy, Chris, and everyone else who has toiled endlessly on this thing (and put up with my rampant lunacy in the process); Rick Walker and Steve Lawson for kicking me back into gear and keeping me running; David Torn for way too many things to list on a single web page; Daniel Pratt for jaw-dropping assistance and generosity in times of peril; Hans Lindauer for going above and beyond the call of help, organization, and hospitality on a regular basis; Mr. Grob and Ms. Neuberg for reminding me how it can be done; Herb Heinz for naming the "palindrome technique;" Eric Oberthaler for finally succumbing to my requests to play duets together; Michael Peters, Jon Durant, Frank Gerace, Greg Kucharo, Ted Killian, Todd Reynolds, Andre Cholmondeley, Cliff Novey, Sean Echevarria, Gary Lehman, Max Valentino, Jon Wagner, Richard Zvonar, Dave Trenkel, and everyone else who I'm undeservedly forgetting to mention right now; and anyone who sees fit to dignify my periodic delusions of grandeur with some shred of consideration (that is to say: thank you to all who have listened, read, and/or expressed their support along the way.)
